Dr. Stephen Amerson

Mr. Amerson died Monday, February 10, 1997.

Born in Davisboro, he was the son of the late Stephen H, and Rosa W. Amerson. He lived most of his life in Macon and was a graduate of Northern Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He served in the Navy during World War II as a chief pharmacist's mate. He was an optometrist, retired from private practice. He was a Baptist and a member of Mabel Masonic Lodge No. 255.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Willis Amerson; brother and sisters, Dr. George T. Amerson of Clarksville, Ark., Annelle A. Love of Pensacola, Fla., Billie A. Jones of Birmingham, Ala., and Helen A. Amerson and Reba A. Lanier, both of Macon.

Services for Dr Stephen Royce Amerson will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Riverside Cemetery, North gate.

Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street, has charge arrangements.
