Marylene Starnes, 96 of Buffalo Valley died Wednesday morning, March 22, 2023 at NHC of Smithville, Tennessee. She was born October 3, 1926 in Putnam County to the late James L. and Allie Avo Huddleston Youngblood.

Marylene was a retired store clerk at Hurricane Boat Dock, Big K and Roses Department Store. She was a member at Silver Point Baptist Church.

Her family includes a daughter: Kaye Jones of Silver Point; grandchildren: James Thomas, Tommy (Gillian) Thomas, Jamie (Klus) Michaelson - all of Silver Point, David Templeton of Alabama, Greg Templeton of Nashville; great-grandchildren: Dakota Morgan, Damon Morgan, Danny Morgan, Dustin Thomas, Jordan Herald, Breanna Thomas; 8 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands: Walter Ray Ashburn and L.A. Starnes; daughter and son-in-law: Mary Martyn and Al Sierocinski; sister: Sherrill McMahan; brothers: J.L. and John Ivan Youngblood.

Graveside services were conducted Friday, March 24th at Cookeville City Cemetery with Bro. Tony Crowe officiating.
