Wilson Allison was born in Brownsville, Indiana, January 18, 1828. He moved to Iowa with his mother in 1851 and was united in marriage to Eliza Jacobs in 1860. To this union ten children were born - eight surviving: James of Chariton; George and Ed of Kansas City; William of Carthage, Mo.; Frank, whose whereabouts are unknown; and Mrs. Alderson, Mrs. Means and Mrs. Martha Rose of Kansas City. He died May 28, 1907.
He was united with the christian church in 1890 and was a faithful follower of the faith until the close of his life. Funeral services were conducted at the home on Saturday, May 31, by Rev. D. L. Dunkelberger, and many friends paid by their presence the tribute of respect due one whose life was full of kind deeds and ennobling impulses.
