COOKEVILLE: Funeral services for Ruth Maxwell, 92, of Route 2, Cookeville will be held Sunday, March 22 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Whitson Funeral Home, with Bro. Jackie Gentry and bro. Guy Farris officiating. Burial will be in the Cookeville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Maxwell, a housewife, died March 20, 1987 following an extended illness.
She was born April 19, 1895 in Putnam County. She was the daughter of the late Brownie and Missouri Harris.
Her family includes her husband, Solon Maxwell; two daughters, Lucille Hale and Ruby Hargis of Cookeville; two sons, James Maxwell of MI and Claude Maxwell of Cookeville; one sister, Gladys Cronk of Nashville; her granddaughter, Eunetta Randolph of Cookeville; and nine other grandchildren; 21 greatgrandchildren and two greatgreat grandchildren.
