Draper Rites On Friday
Mrs. Earl Draper, 71, route 1, died this morning at the Atchison hospital. She had been ill only a few days and entered the hospital yesterday.
Mrs. Draper, the former Mary Case, was born Dec. 25, 1892, in Andrew county, Missouri. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Case, and moved to the Atchison area as a young girl.
She and Earl Draper were married Sept. 20, 1920, and have lived in their present home most of the time since.
Mrs. Draper was a member of the First Christian church, a member of the Whatsoever Sunday school class, the Christian Women's Fellowship, the Eastern Star and the Willing Workers club.
She is survived by her husband of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Arlene Roberts of the home; three sons, Carl Draper, Atchison, Victor Willmeth, Atchison, and Clair Willmeth, Chicago; a brother, John Case, sr., route 2; three sisters, Mrs. Ross Knowles and Mrs. Martha Nielson, both of Atchison, and Mrs. Julian Stuart, Indianapolis, Ind.; 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Four brothers and four sisters died previously.
A son, Roy Draper, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Stanton chapel with the Rev. Harold Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
