Feb. 24, 1917 - Jan. 19, 2002.

Lilly Blevins Keeton, age 84, of Monticello, Ky. passed away Saturday, January 19, 2002 at her home.

She was born in the Mt. Pisgah community of Wayne County, Ky. on February 24, 1917, the daughter of the late Bro. John Chambers Blevins and Kizzie Smith Blevins.

On August 6, 1938, she married Shelby Keeton, who survives.

She is also survived by five children - John Reid Keeton of Williamsburg, Ohio, Jan Demel of Hutchison, Ks., Don Keeton of Dayton, Ohio, Richard G. Ellis of Lexington, Ky. and Kathy Beckler of High Spring, Fla.; two sisters - Pearl Gregory of Knightstown, Ind. and Martha Sloan of Monticello, Ky.; three brothers - Dewey Blevins of Richmond, Ind., Henry Blevins of Monticello, Ky., and William Blevins of Jeffersonville, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is one sister - Mary Hurt; and three brothers - Richard Blevins, John Blevins, and Elmer Blevins.

She was a member of Monticello First Baptist Church and of the Monticello Order of the Eastern Star #526.

Funerals services were held Tuesday, January 22, 2002 at 11 a.m. the First Baptist Church with Bro. David Coy Webb officiating.

Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
