Henry C. Blevins, age 91, of Monticello, Ky., passed away Sunday, September 29, 2002 at Wayne County Hospital.

He was born in the Mr. Pisgah community of Wayne County, Ky. on November 13, 1910, the son of the late Bro. John Chambers Blevins and Kizzie Smith Blevins.

On December 16, 1939, he married Frona I. Blevins, who survives.

He is also survived by two children - Carol McCutchen and Glenna Burk, both of Monticello, Ky., two brothers - Dewey Blevins of Richmond, Ind. and William Blevins of Jeffersonville, Ind., two sisters - Pearl Gregory of Knightstown, Ind. and Martha Sloan of Monticello, Ky., two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Preceding him in death are two sisters - Lily Keeton and Mary Hurt, and two brothers - Elmer Blevins and John Blevins.

He had worked in the oil fields of southeastern Kentucky his whole life. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 431 in Monticello.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 2, 2002 at 11 am at First Baptist Church with Bro. Coy Webb and Bro. I.O. Meadow officiating. Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

Masonic services were held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at 7 pm.
