Alfred Zoerb, 82, died October 5 at Kittitas Valley Community Hospital. Born May 1, 1886 in Maple Grove, Minnesota, he was married to Ida Bolduc July 2, 1912. They came to Ellensburg in 1936 from North Dakota. Zoerb operated an oil station and was last employed by Central Washington State College, as a stationary engineer. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge and the IOOF Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Ida at the family home, 408 South Pine. Survivors include two sons, Ambrose, Seattle, and Arthur Cuskey, Minneapolis; daughters, Mrs. M. J. Richmond, Ellensburg, and Mrs. Dave Cook, Seattle; ten grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Hilary, in 1959.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 8 at 11 a.m. in Evenson Chapel with the Reverend Albert Sweet officiating. Ellensburg Lodge 39 F. & A.M. will conduct Masonic graveside services at IOOF cemetery.
