Mrs. Chambers, nee Elizabeth Hurst, daughter of Samuel Hurst, deceased, was born on Quicksand, now Breathitt county, January 28, 1832.
Mrs. Chambers father moved to Stillwater during her early girlhood, where she attended school until 1851, when she was married to Elisha Chambers.
She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Chambers was the mother of eleven children, three of whom have gone on to welcome her into that Great Kingdom "not made with hands."
