KASH -- On Sunday morning at the home of her son-in-law, Mr. I. N. Phipps, Mrs. Dulcina Kash, departed this life after many months of continuous suffering. She was born in Wolfe county 66 years ago, and 43 years ago was married to James Kash, and during the late war came to this county where with the exception of the past 12 years this has been her home. Seven children survive her, S. K. Kash, Corbin; Mrs. I. N. Phipps, this city; W. L. Kash, Lexington; Mrs. Ida Everman, North Middletown; Mrs. R. G. Bishop, Plum Lick; Mrs. A. D. Pattison, Columbia, and Miss Oda Kash, North Middletown, all of whom attended the funeral service except Mrs. Pattison who was prevented attending by sickness. The brothers and sisters surviving her are Capt. William Hurst, Mrs. A. L. Kash and Mrs. Elisha Chambers of Campton; D. D. Hurst of Jackson, and H. C. Hurst of Indian Territory. She also has twelve grand children. Mrs. Kash was converted in childhood, became a member of the Old Baptist church and has led a consistent Christian life. Her children are characters that exemplify a life that has been busy in bringing them up under cautious training. She loved the people of God, her church, and was faithful to the end of life. The funeral service was held at the home of her son-in-law, Mr. Phipps, and was conducted by Elder J. H. Gilbert of Winchester. The remains were taken to North Middletown and buried beside her husband. The preacher knew the life of Mrs. Kash for many years and of her conversion and Christian life, he spoke beautifully and comforting. In the death of Mrs. Kash another good woman has gone home to God. (The Mt Sterling Advocate, 09 Jan 1907, Wed, Page 13)
