Erma Helen (Ogden) Hodson, 94, of Dallas, a Cascade native and former bookkeeper, died of natural causes February 28 in Dallas.
Erma Helen Hodson was born Feb. 14, 1915, in Cascade, the daughter of Roe and Florence Ogden. Erma graduated from Cascade High School in 1934, after which she furthered her education at Great Falls Commercial College. She was then employed as a bookkeeper at Western Auto Supply.
In 1942, she married Phil Hodson in Great Falls, and they resided there until 1962, when they moved to their ranch in Browning. While in Browning, she was employed for six years as a bookkeeper for the Browning Mercantile. Erma was a Charter Member of the Montana Cowgirls Association and belonged to the Order of Eastern Star No. 113 in Shelby.
After Phil's death, she moved her permanent residence to Great Falls until 2000, at which time she moved to Dallas, Texas.
She leaves behind her son, her daughter, 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, and 2 sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her first daughter, Joyce, in 1972, and her husband, Phil, in 1979.
