An obituary published in the Windsor Gazette for Mrs. Charles O. Bruce, states she had died at her home north of Windsor, October 22, 1923. She was born July 5, 1873, nee Mary Elizabeth McVay, but was known as Mollie. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron McVay, deceased. She married Mr. Bruce, July 1, 1896, who survived as well as their one son, John Robert Bruce. Also surviving were brothers, Philetus McVay of Windsor, W. W. McVay of Mattoon and Charles B. McVay of Chicago. A brother, Leander, was deceased. Burial was in the Windsor Cemetery.
