William Simpson "Simp" Brock was born in 1874 in Jonesboro, Craighead Co., Arkansas to David L. Brock and Mary May (Thomas) Brock.
Simp had the following siblings born of this union:
Nancy Alice Brock,
Martha "Mattie" Caroline Brock,
Elizabeth "Lida" Belle Brock and
Ella May Brock.

Simp also had the following half-siblings from his father's marriage to Amanda (Roe):
Amanda "Mandy" Elizabeth Brock (twin) and
Mary Ann Brock (twin).

The death of Simp Brock which occurred at his father's home two miles north of the city, on Monday will be sad news to a host of admiring friends.
He was just entering into mans estate with the promises of a life of usefulness. There was perhaps no young man in the country of his acquaintance so highly esteemed and in his case merited it all.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Brock, old and well known citizens and his death is a severe blow to them.
He was buried in the Philadelphia Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon with services by his pastor, Eld. W. J. Bearden.
The bereaved family and relatives have our sympathy.
