John Rubenkoenig was a life long resident of Graham, Texas. He was the oldest member of the Graham Fire Department before his retirement.
He was a retired mechanic and member of the Methodist Church. Mr. Rubenkoenig was very active in the Masonic Lodge.
He lived at 411 Virginia Street and was well known for his hand-carved gavels, many of which were presented to outstanding legislators and other members of the government in many states, including Texas.
Survived by his wife; two daughters - Mrs. Edith Touchstone and Miss Eunice Rubenkoenig; one son - J. L Rubenkoenig; three sisters - Miss Minnie Rubenkoenig, Miss Elsie Rubenkoenig, Miss Louise Rubenkoenig.
Masonic graveside services were officiated by Rev. Jay Darnell and Dr. D.L. McCree.
