The 1840 U.S. census indicates they are living in Stoddard, Missouri, along with her parents, John and Lavinia Sloan, who moved to that area at the same time. Nancy and William Carlock later moved to Madison Co., IL and about 1847, they moved to Fayette County, IL, where they owned and farmed land northwest of Ramsey, IL, for the remainder of their lives.
