Dorothy Pearl Acy Shelton

KOSCIUSKO — Dorothy Pearl Acy Shelton, 94, of Kosciusko, a retired nurse, died June 24, 2010 at the Attala County Nursing Center.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 26, at 10 a.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Carroll County.

Rev. Ralph Hunt and Rev. Jim Ray officiated.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by sons, David Price Shelton of Nicaragua and Dayton Harold Shelton and wife, Mary Nell of Water Valley; daughter, Debbie Kay Ramage and husband, Johnny of Hesterville; daughters-in-law, Mary Allen, Barbara Shelton and Elizabeth Payne; 15 grandchildren, Roxie Don, Keith Shelton, Leslie Shelton, Randy Shelton, Christy Glenn, Renee Kendrix, David Shelton Jr., James Price "Jimmy" Shelton, Dewayne Shelton, Pam Hutto, Mark Shelton, Nancy Vance, Brooke Moorhead, Jessica Cleveland, and Angela Howard; 27 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Price Shelton; parents, Eugene Clifton and Amanda Helen Mosely Acy; twin brother, Robert Earl Acy; brothers, Norman Acy and Aubrey Acy; sister, Mary Emma Acy; granddaughter, Tammy Watkins.

Pallbearers were Faron Ingram, Wesley Beckham, Wayne Shelton, Westley Moorehead, Clint Howard and Paul Cleveland.

Memorials may be sent to Breast Cancer Awareness.
