The Bourbon, Ind., native was founder of Auto Bumper Exchange Inc., in Fort Wayne, was retired from New Haven Volunteer Fire Department after 15 years of service, a member of American Legion Post 13 in Hot Springs and a World War II Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred; a son, Jerry of Fort Wayne; daughters Joanne Lake, Judith K. Goff and Janet Jauregui, all of Fort Wayne; stepdaughters Sandra Taylor of Normal, Ill., and Barbara Colba of Bloomington, Ill.; a sister, Esther L. Schafer of Plymouth; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie.
