JOANNE C. LAKE, 67, died Wednesday, September 06, 2006 at her home in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a supervisor at Fort Wayne State Hospital for 15 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of League for the Blind & Disabled and Workers for the Blind.

Surviving are three sons, Chuck (Jan) Lake of Fort Wayne, Mark Lake of Terre Haute and Kevin (Theresa) Lake of Fort Wayne; daughter, Kimberly (Scott) Lahey of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; step-mother, Mildred C. Grossman of Fort Wayne; brother, Jerry (Linda) Grossman of Fort Wayne; sister, Janet (Billy) Jauregui; companion, William Stith of Fort Wayne; two step-sisters, Sandra Adams of Cary, N.C. and Barbara Colba of Augusta, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis in 1998; parents, Ralph and Marjorie Grossman; and sister, Judy Goff.

Service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Messiah Lutheran Church, 7211 Stellhorn Road with calling one hour prior. Rev. Stanley Sneeringer and Metropolitan Arch Bishop E. P.B. Carsten officiating. Calling is also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
