Obituary: Rachel Boatright, the daughter of John Samuel Boatright, was born in Coleman County, TX. She died Wednesday, Sept. 19, (1973). She was 86 and had been a resident of Pleasonton since 1940.
Funeral services for Mrs. Timmerman were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Hurley Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Bill Lawrence, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiatd and burial was in the Floresville city cemetery. Grandsons served as pall bearers.
Mrs. Timmerman had been a member of the Presbyterian Church since childhood. She was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star. She married August Timmerman, who was then a U. S. Marshal in Indian Territory.
Later Mr. and Mrs. Timmerman moved to San Marcus where he had grown up. He operated a livery stable with horse-drawn taxis. Still later they moved to Floresville and ran a diary farm for many years. Mr. Timmerman met his death in a landslide accident.
Surviving are two sons, August Timmerman of Hondo and Henry Timmerman of Falfurrias; and two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Richardson of Pleasonton and Mrs. Mattie Gray of Somerset. Also surviving are a brothr D. T. Boatright and a sister Mrs. T. T. Morris, both of Krebs, OK. 14 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
