Ronnie was the youngest child of John William and Beulah B. (Smith) Heindl. He was struck by a car on a Friday evening walking to a dance at the Holly Hill Town Hall with three boyfriends, and died later that evening at Halifax Hospital, on his 14th birthday.
He was raised SE of West Alexandria on Enterprise Road for most of his life on a 36 acre farm. He attended Lanier Twp. School on #503 South except for his 4th grade year when our family moved to Daytona, he went to South Daytona School. He was a student of Holly Hill Junior High his 8th grade year and the beginning of the 9th grade when he was killed.
His maternal grandparents are William F. and Josie Smith; paternal grandparents are John H. and Margaret Truebenbach Heindl. He is buried next to his father, sisters, Phyllis, Joann, Janet; and brothers, Bobby and baby William.
