Anthony Jenks's second wife, Laura, said in a pension paper that Anthony died in Homer, Cortland, NY. However, he was living in Summerhill, Cajuga, NY at the time of his death.

Anthony Jenks married Hannah Sutton 23 Oct 1773 in Rehoboth, Bristol, MA. He was of Cumberland and Hannah was of Rehoboth when they were married. He and Hannah had three children: Otis b. 29 Aug 1774 in Cumberland; Nathan b. 3 Dec 1776 in Cumberland, Ananias b. 26 May 1786 (tombstone). Anthony and his second wife Laura Eddy had a daughter Fanny. Fanny married Lewis A. Patchen who is buried in Lansingville Cemetery, Tompkins Co, NY.

Anthony was a Revolutionary soldier. He enlisted in 1777 and served to the end of the war. He was a corporal in Col. Angell's Regiment. He had a pension.

Source unknown-"Anthony Jenks was a miller, who owned a mill on Fall Creek about a mile north of Groton City. A small house stood near this mill. In this small home, the old soldier lived and died. Just before he died, he said to his friends, 'Do you see that knoll, overlooking my mill? Well, there is where I want to be buried." His friends carried out his wishes..."

The single stone stands near creek bank in the town of Summerhill west of Hinman Road, south of Route 90, ca 500 meters.
