Ananias was a clothier by trade. In 1804 he was assigned two days to work on the highway in District 11 in Homer, Cortland Co., NY. In Homer he had a wool carding and cloth dressing mill. (History of Cortland County) He moved to Seneca Falls, Seneca County and had a mill there. He died in Waterloo, Seneca County, NY.
