Boyd Elmer Lewis, age 84, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2002 in Midway, Utah.

Born Nov. 1, 1917 in Kamas, Utah the son of Joseph Lewis and Lacy Carpenter. Married Lucella Reve' Kimber, Solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Later married Tessie Peck Larson. Both preceded him in death.

Boyd was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon). He served as a ward clerk for 20 years, a temple worker in the Salt Lake and Jordan River Temples for many years, and also a full-time mission.

He drove truck for Clark Tank Lines for 36 years, where he earned numerous driving awards for safety. He was an avid fisherman.

Survived by his son Leslie (Alayna) Lewis of Midway; step-children: Dixie (Theodore) Allen, Dutch (Gay) Larson, Geraldine (Gordon) Holbrook, Wendell (Sunny) Peery, Tim (Naomi) Larson, Theo Larson; sister, Norma (Lamar) Christensen; brothers, Warren (Beverly) Lewis, Max (Doradeen) Lewis, Brent (Diane) Lewis; seven grandchildren: Eric, Brandin, Lacey, Dusty Jo, Levi, Alivia and Daniel Bowen Lewis; 50 step-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2002 - 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Park, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan.

Arrangements in the care of Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, Heber City.
