North - The funeral for Mrs. Margie Chavis Bolin, 86, formerly of North, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at Sunny Vista Church of God, with the Rev. John O'Cain and Rev. William Junior Hutchins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Mrs. Bolin died Wednesday, November 25, 2009. She was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Ira and Arena Chavis of Neeses. She served as a Sunday School teacher earlier in her life. Mrs. Bolin worked at Azalea Meats and was a loving caregiver to her husband, Woodrow Bolin, for seven years until his passing. Survivors include three sons, Luther (Mary Lou) Bolin, of Navarre, Fla.; Hal (Maryline) Bolin, of Springfield; and Jerry (Marsha) Bolin, of Salley; three daughters, Jeanette Michael, and Delaine (John) Mastin, of Thomasville, N.C., Avis (Wayne) Duba, of Denton, N.C.; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., Sunday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North and other times at the home of Jerry and Marsha Bolin, 260 John Nunn Highway, Salley.
