Mrs. J. E. (John Emett) Maughiman Dies at her home
Funeral Service Arranged for Friday Afternoon
Mrs. Elsie Maughiman, 69, wife of J. Emett, died Monday afternoon in the home, 621 Tuscarawas St. W., after an illness of several months. Besides her husband, she leaves two brothers, John and William Capper of Canton, and a grandniece Mary Jane Capper, of the home. Mrs. Maughiman was a member of the First Congregational Church and was a member of Canton Chapter 190 Order of Eastern Star, Washington Shrine 16., Nas. Caldron, Women's Benefit Assocation, Tribe of Ben Hur. Order of the Amaranth and Security Benefit Association, and Daughter's of Civil War Veterans. She had been a Canton resident 24 years, coming here from Scio in 1913. Funeral services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the home in charge of Rev. George G. Shurtz assisted by Rev. D. E. Scott. The body will be placed in the Mausoleum at Forest Hill Cemetery.
