Bio

In November of 2017, I started researching my family history on Ancestry.com. I soon found out that the family history that I thought I knew was not even close to the truth. It has been an incredible journey. One of the things that has helped me a lot with my family tree is Find A Grave. So, it is just natural for me to help others since I have been helped in this way. I hope that you will be able to find answers like I have.

Accuracy about the historical record is the most important part of why I volunteer with Find A Grave. I do believe that it is important to get a picture of every headstone or the lack of a headstone. I am not afraid to show a picture of empty grass where a headstone should be. I think that it is just as important to let loved ones know that there is no headstone on their loved ones grave. Maybe that will inspire them to add one if they are able.

Good luck and let me know if I can help you out in the Canton, Ohio area, where I lived up until March of 2022. I still have many contacts there. I currently live in Sparta, Michigan and am willing to help with headstones and/or cemeteries in the Grand Rapids area.

I am currently working on going through the five cemeteries in my new community of Sparta, Michigan. I started this project in April of 2024 and it will probably take me a few years to complete.
