Catherine was the daughter of Richard Basil Boarman and Anne Gardiner. She married William Thomas II in 1782 and they had 7 children, one of whom was Dr. James Thomas, 23rd Governor of the state of Maryland from 1833 to 1836. They had 7 children.

Catherine was a descendent of Robert Brooke of DeLaBrooke Manor, St. Mary's County, MD. She is buried in an above ground crypt near the corner of Route 5 and Busy Corner Road. The crypt is in very bad shape and in need of repairs. At this time I would rather not share a photo of this crypt until some type of repair or restoration is performed first.
