Buford T. Bailey, of Sano Route, Columbia, died at the age of 65 at his home on Monday, July 16. He was the son of the late Robert Sid and Mary Ellen Conover Bailey of Adair County and a member of Hood Masonic Lodge No. 839.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rutha Bailey, and three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Overstreet and Mrs. Lula Cabbell, Columbia, and Mrs. Nannie Murrell, St. Joseph, Ill.
The Reverends Henry Popplewell and Otis Wolford conducted the funeral services, Wednesday, July 18, at the Freedom Baptist Church. Interment with Masonic rites was in the Freedom Cemetery with funeral arrangements by Stotts & Phelps Funeral Home.
