Grandpa Orsak was a retired share crop farmer, who farmed around Veribest, TX. Veribest in 1936-1960 was a thriving area of about a 100 people. They wanted a Post Office, so a young girl was asked by the mayor to think of a name. She was in a store when she saw a jar of Veribest Pickles and said that would be a good name for a town. Veribest was predominately farming and had the 'very best' of farmland raising cotton & maize.

Vincenc Fedora Orsak, known as 'Jim Frank' had a twin sister named Caroline nickname 'Carrie'. He married Emma Olsovsky on 4 Sept 1917 in Moravia, TX and had eight children. His twin sister married the older brother of his wife Emma Olsovsky. Grandpa with his family moved with his oldest brother Charlie and his family to Tom Green Co. from Jackson Co., TX after their father's death in 1936.

Grandma Emma died in 1945 and grandpa never remarried.

*Fedora is the village name that designates a separate Orsak Family branch in the old village of Nova Dedina Rosinka, now known as Novy Hrozenkov, CZ.(Czechia)
