Bill Anderson, of Comanche died Wednesday, March 7, 2001. in Comanche County Hospital.

Service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday in the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel With the Rev. Bruce Humphries officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche. Mr. Anderson was born Dec. 22, 1919, in Addington, to James and Hattie Elmore Anderson. He married Katherine Shelby on June 28, 1941 in Addington.

He was a former member of the Comanche City Council and retired as a construction contractor in 1998.

He was affiliated with the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Billy Anderson and his wife Sue of Comanche and Danny Anderson of Wichita Falls; two daughters, Linda Maddox and her husband Charles of Woodward And Kay Ledford and her husband Joe of Comanche; a brother, Fred Anderson of Lindsey; 10 grandchildren, Gail Rutherford of Yukon, Tina Walker of Honolulu, Hawaii, Brenda Smith of Midland, Texas, Roy Maddox of Woodward, Heath Anderson and Travis Parte' both of Wichita Falls, Christi Anderson of Hamilton, MT, Mindi Bowles of Comanche, Nick Anderson of Comanche and Audie Anderson of Stevensville, MT; 18 great grandchildren; a great grandchild; two nieces and five nephews.

Bearers will be his grandsons and Harvey Garrett and Darrell Newton.
