The funeral for Julious V. Clark, 86, formerly of 1151 E. Church St., Martinsville, who died Sept. 3, 2001, at Beverly HealthCare, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Moral Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Thurman O. Echols officiating. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. Saturday until time for the funeral . Other times friends will be received at the home of a brother, Odell Hodge, 377 Cordover Drive, Martinsville.
She was born Feb. 12, 1915, in Henry County, daughter of the late Sam Henry Hodge and the late Elizabeth Flood Hodge. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Commer Clark, and a daughter, Daphane Vann.
She retired as a machine operator in Philadelphia, Pa., and she was a member of Moral Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Ressie Goode of Philadelphia and Beverly Ann Risher of Conshohocken, Pa.; two sons, Elmo Swanson and Thomas Reginald Swanson, both of Philadelphia; two brothers, Odell Hodge and Raish Hodge, both of Martinsville; three sisters, Georgia Mobley of Martinsville, Lizzie Mae Hairston of Cleveland, Ohio, and Nancy Hodge of Gary, W.Va.; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
