He married Mary F. Davis, daughter of James Davis (b.1818 TN, d. c1859) and Mary (Holt) Davis. She died 1900-1902 in Marshall County but there are no dates on her tombstone. She was buried in the same cemetery with her husband who is buried near his parents at Old Union Church's small cemetery where most of the graves are those of related families.

Harless Genealogy (1962) by J.L. Pritchard, p.115, states that he married his second wife (Nrs,) Rebecca Wilson, 2 OCT 1902. Marriage license applied for 1 Oct 1902.
William Thomas Walls moved to Arkansas from Alabama in 1904 where he remarried in 1909.
Rebecca Wilson Walls' niece Donna Bloxton Petersen wrote: "WILLIAM THOMAS (TOM) WALLS m. #2 REBECCA "AUNT BECKY" WILSON, who had two of her own children, but had none by Tom Walls. Tom brought Becky and his 6 youngest children to Ozark from Grant, AL about 1904. 'Aunt Becky' didn't stay in Ozark too many years until she went back to AL to be with her (grown) children. They were married when she came to Ozark." Apparently Tom Walls and his second wife divorced and he remarried in 1909.

Genealogist Ray Edward Walls listed an earlier wife of this William Thomas Walls as Sarah Brock (b. c1863 in Georgia), possibly mother of two, John b.1877 and Mary b.1889. This last date obviously refers to Mary Frances Maggie Jane Walls (who was born June 1890), who was the daughter of Mary Davis. And the only source cited is the 1880 census, which does not prove the statement (see below).

1870 Marshall County census: Thomas Walls, age 10, listed as son of John and Mary (Selvage) Walls.

1880 Marshall County census: next door to John & Mary Selvage Walls (his parents):
"William" Walls, age 18 (c1862 AL), wife Sarah age 19 (c1861 GA), and two children: John age 1, May age 11 months (b.c July 1879). This would be Sarah Brock, according to Ray Walls. Note that Clem is not listed.
But this "William" Walls is actually Willis Walls (John Willis Walls Jr.) and wife Sarah Hill.

William Thomas Walls and wife Mary Davis were the William and Mary Walls living a couple of miles away at Honeycomb, Marshall Co., AL., in the 1880 census:
William Walls 21 (1859 AL), wife Mary 24 (1856 AL), John age 3, Clem age 1. Next door are James Davis (b.1859), other Davis, Anderton, and Stapler families.

The 1900 census gives incorrect birthdates for five of the six children listed:
Wm T(hos) Walls Jan 1859 (correct)
Marie wife Aug 1856 (Mary Davis on tombstone)
Lonnie Walls son June 1882 (Lonnie Mitchell b 20 June 1883/4)
Jack son July 1885 (Andrew Jackson b May 1885)
Jim son May 1888 (James Virgil b 3 Aug 1887)
Maggie June 1890 (Mary Frances Maggie Jane born 22 Nov 1890)
Willie Oct 1894 (Wm David born 8 Sept 1895)
Walter Oct 1894 (Walter W. Walls born 8 Sept 1895)
Note: Isaac Columbus Walls (18 Jan 1893-8 May 1959) is NOT shown in the household, evidently skipped, though he is shown in the household in 1910 as 17-year-old son. He should have been listed after Lonnie and before Jack, and this appears to be where the census taker began his errors. Lonnie born June 1882 is correct.

But Jack was born May 1885 (not July 1885), followed by Jim (James Virgil) who was born Aug 1887, not May 1888.

Mary Davis Walls died in Marshall County, Alabama 1900-1905 (probably 1900-1902, since he married Mrs. Rebecca Wilson in 1902).

William Thomas Walls moved to Arkansas with most of his children in 1904, as shown by the births of grandchildren in Arkansas.
William Thomas Walls married 28 Mar 1909 in Ozark, Franklin Co., Arkansas to Mrs. Margaret (Maggie) D. Rowe Goforth (born June 1880 Franklin Co., AR). She was the daughter of Robert W. Rowe (1834-1910) and Margaret Kniffen Rowe (1845-1910), and the widow of David Goforth (b. July 1880, d. 1906-9), married 22 Sep 1897 in Franklin Co., Arkansas. They had one daughter, Dessie Goforth (1906-1988) who was listed as Dessie Goforth in the 1910 and 1920 censuses but as Dessie Walls when she married Jessie Green Thompson 5 Jul 1925 in Sebastian Co., AR., at which time both were listed as residents of Cameron, Leflore Co., Oklahoma. They still lived in Cameron in 1930-1940.

1910: In the 1910 census, William T. and Maggie Walls were living with three of his and Mary Davis' sons (including the twins) on Collins Bottom Road next door to his son Lonnie M. Walls, Maggie's brother Harvey Rowe and father Robert Rowe. The census says this is the second marriage for both William T. and Maggie. If he had married Elizabeth Perkins in 1902, it should have said this was his third marriage.

Walls was listed as "widowed" in the home of his son, Lonnie, who had moved there from Le Flore Co., Oklahoma.
