Funeral services for Kenenth Madison Wingate, 61, were 2 p.m. Wednesday at Harrod Brothers Memorial Chapel. Kenneth died 5:40 p.m. Monday at Franklin Manor Nursing Home after a long illness. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

A Woodford County native, he was a retired carpenter and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Millville Christian Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ann Aldridge Wingate; two sons, Michael Wesley Wingate (Tina), Stamping Ground, and Keith Madison Wingate, Frankfort;a sister Mrs. Kathleen Golden Frankfort. Kenneth was the son of the late Collier Wingate and Mattie Goodrich Wingate Devore and his late brother Harold Wingate.

Pastor David Lampkin and Pastor Betty Lampkin officiated.

Honorary bearers were Kenneth G Wingate, Terry Wright, R.D. Wright and Billy Aldridge. Bearers will be George Aldridge, Jimmy Colston, Gary Reynolds, Joe Colston, Johnny Colston and Larry Reynolds. Military honors will be at graveside.
