Clara Irene Klasse was born December 9, 1920 on the family farm near Woden, Iowa, to Edze B. and Selma (Daniels) Aukes. She attended school at Grant #4 School and until her marriage did housekeeping, babysitting and worked at Schaefer's Café. Clara was married to Herbert Klasse on January 5, 1955 in Gainsville, Texas. They lived their married life at their home in the south part of Titonka. For 27 years Clara worked at Titonka Savings Bank retiring on March 1, 1982. She considered many at the bank as her extended family.

In 1986, they purchased their first motor home and spent their winters in warmer climates and many days in the summer at various lakes in Minnesota. Herb died on November 20, 2004. Clara enjoyed gardening, flowers, painting, cooking, bird watching and outdoor wildlife. Clara and Herb were avid fishermen especially enjoying trolling for northerns. Clara was a life time member of Ramsey Reformed Church at Titonka as well as the Women's Guild.

Clara became a resident of the Timely Mission Nursing Home in Buffalo Center in October, 2013 and died there on Thursday morning, December 12, 2013 at the age of 93.

Survivors include many nieces, nephews and extended nieces, nephews and many friends. Clara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herbert, and her brothers and sisters, Reinder, Mary, Ted, Ben, Marvin, Gladys and Walter.
