FRANKLIN -- A service for Nora Mae Reed, 81, was held today at the Wells Funeral Home in Stanton, KY. Burial was in Stanton Cemetery. Mrs. Reed, formerly of Evansville, died Friday at Johnson County Memorial Hospital, Franklin. She entered the Franklin United Methodist Home June 4. She was born June 5, 1903, in Campton, KY., to James and Adeline (Drake) Collier. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Stanton. She is survived by her husband, Vernon Reed, whom she married June 6, 1922; four sons, Dr. Kenneth E. Reed and Roger G. Reed, both of Indianapolis, Chester Reed, Huntingburg, and Elvin Reed, Evansville; a daughter, Thelma Patti, La Place, LA.; a sister, Lula Duff, Blanchester, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Vandivier-Tudor Funeral Home, Franklin, is in charge of local arrangements.
