Mrs Mary Schmidt, aged 58, 836 Lake Avenue, died at the Lutheran Hospital Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock after having been a patient at the hospital for several days. Mrs Schmidt had lived in this city for the last 10 years. She was born in Marion Township and had lived there until coming to Fort Wayne. Mrs Schmidt was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church and of the Ladies Aid Society of that church. Surviving are the husband, Jacob Schmidt; two sons, Anthony and Henry Schmidt; six daughters, the Misses Velma and Paula Schmidt, Mrs Raymond Werling, Mrs William Klink, Mrs Martin Macke and Mrs Ernst Kohlenberg; 13 grandchildren; six brothers, Louis, George, Mathias, William, Martin an Charles Doctor, and a sister, Mrs Henry Schmidt, all of Fort Wayne. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home and at 2 o'clock at St Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev Paul Miller will officiate.
