John Coleman Conner, age 89, of Brandon, MS. passed away after a brief illness, June 1, 2017 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be held 1:00 – 3:00 pm
Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. with graveside service and burial to follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens.

John was born March 31, 1928 in DeKalb, Mississippi. He was married to Jean Conner for 65 years and they had four children. He was a member of Brandon First United Methodist Church and the Fellowship Sunday school class.
After graduating from high school, John entered the Navy in February of 1946 and served for 2 years. He completed his undergraduate and Master's degree in Education from
Mississippi State University. Over his career he worked as a teacher, principal, Regional Manager for L.W. Singer Company and for the last 46 years owner and President of
Mississippi Library and Media Supply in Brandon. John was a true salesman at heart and never met a stranger. He enjoyed following Mississippi State Athletics over the years and loved all things MSU. John was a man of many friends and of utmost integrity.

John is preceded in death by his wife Jean Conner, brother William Conner and sister Helen Price. He is survived by his sister Nancy Reed, daughter Barbara Tigrett (David) of Brentwood TN., son Mike Conner (Sherri) of Brandon, MS., daughter Cathy Graves (David) of Tunica, MS and son Bill Conner (Memrie) of Brandon, MS. He had 12 grandchildren, Christy Huff (Bobby), Matt Tigrett (Marci), Amy Thorpe (Todd), Brad Conner (Maria), Jessie McNeil (Cole), Sarah Conner, Michael Conner, Katy Graves, John David Graves, Chris Graves ( Haley), Whitt Conner and Josh Conner along with 14 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Brandon First United Methodist Church, 205 Mary Ann Dr., Brandon, MS. 39042.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Teresa Smith, a dedicated employee of 40 years and the Fellowship Sunday School Class for their love and support
during this time.
