Byron worked for a tower Company stringing cables as well as doing carpenter work. He loved hunting, horses, outdoor life, dogs and Harley-Davidsons.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Florence Hamilton; grandparents, Emmons and Lou Atell and Carl Hamilton.
Byron is survived by: his father, Gail Hamilton of Kirksville, Missouri; son, Jeremy and his wife, Monica Hamilton of Aurora, Illinois and Jason and his wife, Brooke Hawley of Tomball, Texas; his partner, Teri Pharr of Livingston, Texas; sister, Brenda and her husband, Jerry Kraemer of Huntsville, Missouri; niece, Angela Schilling of Moberly, Missouri; grandmother, Faye Hamilton of Newton, Iowa; grandchildren, Cynthia and Tyler Hamilton of Aurora, Illinois, Lucas Hawley and Patrick Newman of Tomball, Texas; his beloved dog, Rose; and a host of Aunts and Uncles. Memorial services will be held on Monday, September 11, 2006 at 10 am at Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Ralph Wheeler officiating. Interment of ashes will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Mystic, Iowa.
