Memorial updated February 2, 2014 and July 1, 2016:

A SAC received indicates that Marjorie was one of the wives of
Rogers Hornsby, a major league Baseball Hall of Famer - " "Hornsby married Marjorie Bernice Frederick Porter on January 27, 1957. They remained together until Hornsby's death in 1963."

His memorial was one of the first to be entered into the FindAGrave listings, and his memorial is managed by FindAGrave. While the names of his parents were provided in his biography, the names of his wives were not, however.

An account of their marriage was published in the Fairfield Ledger on Saturday, Feb. 2, 1957, Pg. 2 Col. 7.

Is there a particular reason that Marjorie is buried in Fairfield, Iowa and not in Texas where Rogers is buried?
