TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Abel Aragon Sr., 88, died Friday, Dec. 26, 1997.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Dunn Memorial Chapel. Mass
will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anne's Church. Burial
will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Aragon was born in Anton Chico. He moved to Clovis in 1968 from
Tucumcari. He was a Catholic.

Survivors include his wife, Julia Aragon; four sons, Abel Aragon Jr.
of Tucumcari, Robert Aragon of Clovis, Edmund Aragon of Highlands
Ranch, Colo., and Richard Aragon of Lubbock; three daughters, Lola
Ballard of Tucumcari, Margaret Boggs of Gore, Okla., and Patricia Ruiz
of Santa Fe; a brother, Christian Aragon of Socorro; two sisters,
Jennie Padilla of Borger, Texas, and Mary Gorre of Albuquerque; 11
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
