Lula died in Columbia, SC. There is not a headstone for her. Her grave is in the edge of the woods nearer to the Church. When her coffin was taken to Mt. Zion Baptist Church for the funeral they realized the hole for her grave was dug in the wrong place, so the pallbearers took off their coats and rolled up their sleeves and dug the hole with shovels. Mr. Clarence Arnette was one of the pallbearers.
