Frances J. (McFarlane) Malecha of Midland, Michigan died Saturday, April 29, 1989 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Saginaw. Age 80 years. She was born Sept. 29, 1908 in Saginaw, where she graduated from Saginaw Arthur Hill. She then graduated from Central Michigan University in 1927. She was a schoolteacher in the Hemlock-Brant School systems for several years.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Eloise and John Houvener of St. Charles; one sister; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. One brother predeceased her.
Funeral service will take place Wednesday, May 3, 1989 at 11:00 a.m. from the First United Methodist Church in Midland. Rev. Robert Grigereit will officiate with burial Laporte Cemetery.
Friends may call the Ware-Smith-Woolever & Co.,Funeral Homes, 1200 W. Wheeler Rd., Midland on Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and with the family on Tuesday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Memorials are available to First United Methodist Church, Midland or to St. Mary's Medical Center Heart Foundation.
