OBITUARY: MRS. MATILDA GARRETT, long time resident of this county, died suddenly in Jacksonville hospital last Friday morning following a long illness. She was born in Georgia on Oct. 17, 1881 and was a life member of the Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held in Macedonia Methodist Church near MacClenny Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Ernest Griffis officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery under the direction of DeWitt C. Jones.
Besides her husband, Rev. Francis Garrett of Starke, she is survived by three sons, Herman L. and Ernest Garrett, both of Starke, and Lemmie U. Garrett of Jacksonville; and one sister, Mrs. Susan Mulligan of Claxton, Ga.
