Ruth Learned Perse, 90, of Perrysburg, OH, died on Monday, March 29, 2010.

The daughter of Raymond and Helen (Wells) Learned, she was a graduate of Maumee High School.

Ruth married Edward Leiter Perse on March 23, 1942 in Lucas County, Ohio. He preceded her in death in 1973.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church and its Chancel Choir, had delivered Mobile Meals, and is remembered by many dear friends for the greeting cards she sent and for her kind heart and bright smile.

Ruth is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard Perse and Jane Bihn, her son-in-law Mark Hoffmann, her grandsons Kristopher and Thomas Hoffmann, three great grandchildren, a sister-in-law Rita Perse, and several special nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Hoffmann, her brothers, John and William Learned, and a brother-in-law, Robert Perse.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2010, at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, 200 West Second Street, Perrysburg, OH. Burial at Fort Meigs Cemetery will be private.
