Mildred's brothers were Ward Allison Dorrance, born on April 30, 1904 in Jefferson City, Cole County, Missouri, and Jack Courtney Dorrance, born on April 30, 1909, in Jefferson City, Cole County, Missouri.
She married Harry Jones Noerteman on July 30, 1932, in Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois. Their daughter, Claudia Jane, was born on January 5, 1942, in St. Louis City, Missouri and never married.
Mildred and Harry lived for many years in House Springs, Missouri, and raised their family there. They owned a home outside of town and a store in town.
By 2003, they had three grandchildren and five great grandchildren by their second daughter and her husband.
