He was born Sept. 12, 1938, in Mill Grove, Mo., son of Delbert Oliver and Lois Cecil McLain Wilson. He married Lois K. Hartson on Aug. 10, 1957, in Leon. She died Sept. 23, 2003.
Mr. Wilson was a machinist at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 30 years, retiring in 2003.
Survived by: a son, Denten "Denny" (Jackie); three daughters, Denise "DeeDee" (Michael) Bright and Barbara (Mike) Cahoe, both of Evansdale, and Bonita "Boni" (Marc) Puetz of Gilbertville; three sisters, Evelyn (Jonny) Cain and Helen Francis, both of Bethany, Mo., and Shirley (Harold "Curly") Matson of Winstead, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: a daughter, Lisa K. Wilson; four brothers, Norman, Lawrence, Larry and Clayton; five sisters, Charlotte Wilson, Carole Francis, Vera Thompson, Vivian Sweerin and Katherine Sparks; and a granddaughter.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Faith Assembly of God Church, Elk Run Heights, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Garden View Chapel, Waterloo, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
