"Uncle" Nathan Curry, son of James and Polly Curry, was born in Lincoln Co., TN, Jun. 29, 1823. He passed peacefully away after a lingering illness, Jul 27, 1895. He was married to Jane Storm, Jun. 26, 1844. To them were born 10 chldren, eight of whom are living. There are four boys and four girls, all of whom were present at the demise but one. He leaves four brothers and three sisters. All but two were present at his death. He had been a citizen of this community for about 60 consecutive years and had filled positions of honor and trust in the community. His counsel was sought and he was considered as a leading citizen in the neighborhood. He united with the Christian church of Ash Grove under the ministry of "Uncle Jacky" Storm and Tobias Grider many years ago, of which he was a member at the time of his death. He was among the oldest members of his congregation. The funeral services were held at Ash Grove church conducted by A. H. Harrell in the presence of an exceptionally large assembly of sympathizing friends. The remains were laid to rest in Ash Grove Cemetery. The aged, sorrow-stricken companion, the bereaved children and relatives have the sympathies of the community. Peace be to his rest and love to thy memory. Windsor Gazette -1 Aug 1895
