"ADDIE DECKER THOMAS
Addie Agnes Decker was born September 30, 1887 near Kanona, Kansas. She was the seventh of nine children born to James Isaac and Martha Priscilla Everett Decker. She received her education in Northwestern Kansas and married James Weaver Thomas in Oberlin, Kansas April 2, 1908.
Seven children were born to them. They are Luella, Irene, Lee Alta, James R. (who died in 1955) Ivan and Marjorie.
In 1925 the family moved to Wauneta, Nebraska area where they farmed until Mr. Thomas' death March 15, 1966. Later that year Addie moved to Holyoke, Colorado, to be near her son, Lee; and then in 1974 she moved to Akron, Colorado to be her daughter, Marjorie. She lived in her own home until February 1979, when she became a resident of the Washington County Nursing Home in Akron.
Death came December 13, 1980. Addie was 93 years old and was the last of her generation in the Decker family. All her brothers and sisters and their spouses preceded her in death.
Survivors include six of her seven children and their spouses. They are Luella Mohler and her husband Levi of Boise, Idaho; Irene Lingelbach and her husband Melvin of Barstow, California; Lee Thomas and his wife Delpha of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Alta Berggren and her husband Carl of Las Cruces, New Mexico; Ivan Thomas and his wife Arthea of Burlington, Wyoming; Marjorie Good and her husband Loren of Akron, Colorado and daughter-in-law Agatha Brandt and her husband John Brandt of Imperial Nebraska.
She is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren and thirty-five great grandchildren. One great great grandchild, two great grand children and one grandchild preceded her in death.
Addie's life was centered around her children and their families even though they were grown and far away.
She was a good mother. Anything we lacked in material things was more than replaced with love, and although she is physically gone from us that love remains.
Services were held Wednesday, December 17, 1980 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Wauneta. The Rev. Don Rollatin officiated with Betty Maxfield, Organist and Sharon…??"

Name and date of paper unknown.
