Eddie Eugene Bivins "Gene" was born
March 21,1930 to Henry Horton and Florence
(Moody) Bivins. Gene was 6th child of 10
children.

He married, Rachel Lee (Struble) Bivins
Aug. 12, 1952.
Gene and Rachel had 5 children,
Michael, Richard "Allen," William
"David," Lee and Denna.

Gene lived most of his life in
the Massard area and than moved
to Hackett in 1979.
He was a supervisor for the
Fort Smith Street Dept
until his death.

Gene had many talents and he would
help people or neighbors and wouldn't
expect payment or favors.

Gene could pull motors out of cars
and rebuild them. Tell you what was wrong
if you were having a problems with it.
He could lay rock. He could build a house
and he made some pretty fireplaces.

Gene was a beekeeper and loved to
watch westerns on TV.
Gene wasn't much on conversations,
but was a good listener.
