Wanda B. Walter, 85, of Charleston passed from this life June 21, 2022 in Charleston. She was born, in Fort Smith, July 6, 1936 to Henry Bivins and Florence Moody Bivins. Wanda earned her RN degree, and practiced nursing at both Sparks and St. Edwards Mercy Hospitals, before finishing her career as Director of Nursing at Methodist Health and Rehabilitation.
She was the widow of William S. Walter, Sr.

Wanda is survived by her son William S. (Bill) Walter, Jr. and his wife Christine; three grandchildren, Jason Walter, Elizabeth Walter and Sara May; and eight great grandchildren, Mason Walter, Cameron Bonds, Katie Hawkins, Tristan Walter, Aiden Walter, Jasmine Walter, Amber Jones and Dustin May.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, James Walter and Robert Walter; one grandson, Josh Walter; six sisters, Betty Gasper, Arietta Nichelson, Lorene Bivins, Thelma Ray, Burna Westcamp and Eunice Patterson; and three brothers, Ronnie Bivins, Mike Bivins and Gene Bivins.

Graveside services will be 10:00am Friday, June 24, 2022 at Barling City Cemetery.
